Menopause had wreaked havoc with my body, and my tried and true exercise and diet “tricks”were not working. When I reached out to Jody, she suggested we meet in person to chat-a small gesture that made a big impact. She cared! Her approach is extremely practical-just get started, she said-I will meet you where you are and take you where you want to go. As a former dancer I had turned to yoga but it was not enough. On the nutrition front, Jody is the Menopause Whisperer who explains what your hormones are doing and what foods can help you manage symptoms and support your activity. On the exercise front, Jody introduced me to strength training, plyometrics, grip work, HIIT balance work and mobility. Not surprisingly, since working with Jody I feel stronger and have worked up to deadlifting 100 lbs! I even think chin-ups may be in my future.”

Ever hear that it takes an average off 66 days to form a new habit?
Exercise has to be looked at a bit differently. A habit may be going to bed earlier or drinking more water throughout the day. When it comes to exercise it involves a schedule change, time and a different type of commitment. Over time you will usually begin to notice changes due to consistent changes in your routine. 4 months of consistent work you can do a pretty good overhaul on your health and fitness. I want to get my clients to a point where the consistency is a no brainer…by 6 months deep habits are formed. Strength -specific results take at least the same amount of time.
